Review by hotel critic
If you're on the lookout for a ski-in/ski-out option in Nozawa Onsen, Miyasakaya comes highly recommended, especially for digital nomads who wish to balance work and snowboarding. The location is quite convenient, located just a five-minute walk from the slopes. Plus, the presence of a nearby onsen adds a lovely touch for post-ski relaxation. The owner, Seiko-san, was accommodating and friendly, making the experience feel more personal. Rooms are traditional and feature heating-essential for those colder winter nights. Each accommodation also comes with basic amenities like an electric kettle and decent Wi-Fi, enabling you to stay connected when not on the slopes. The inn offers ski equipment hire and storage, which means you won't have to lug your gear around. Laundry services also simplify longer stays. While the inn's slightly elevated position can be a challenge if you've got a lot of luggage, the trade-off is definitely worth it for the immersive experience. Miyasakaya provides solid value without compromising the essential comforts a traveler craves.
